All-embracing aim

The UTCED project's aim is to both strengthen enterprising women and give them visiblility as well as carry out activities which promote women's pre-requisites as entrepreneurs, business-owners and employees.

Why UTCED?

Women are present in all industries both as company-owners and employees. It is crucial that they are visible and receive the support they need in their businesses. UTCED acts so that women's competencies and conditions can create an impression in the work of regional development. This favours women and contributes to regional growth as a whole.

For this reason, five regions have come together to participate in a project spanning several years in order to make a long-term and purposeful investment in women's businesses and working lives. Through collaboration, UTCED creates a larger pool of experience where new competence can be shared over regional borders.

What UTCED offers

The UTCED project provides regional resources for activities which enhance the possibilities for women to start businesses, develop their enterprises, find employment or improve their career outlook. UTCED also offers workshops on gender issues for advisers who wish to advance their professional role.

Mobilisation and business development

UTCED operates in two areas: mobilisation and business development. Both operations contribute to helping the increasingly high number of women who want to be business-owners, to realise their dreams as well as the chance to grow in their enterprises. UTCED is directed to all women and strives especially to reach out to young women and those with a foreign background. In addition mobilisation works to support women who are on the brink of a work-life transition and to strengthen the role of women in regional growth.

Mobilisation aims to work for equal conditions and training courses for entrepreneurship and work-life through resource centre operations.
